ABOUT ISHA
Building a spiritual movement for freedom and empowerment.
ISHA is the acronym that stands for International Shamanic Holistic Academy:
International: For reaching out globally, online and in-person, with trainings and sessions.
Itinerating wherever Spirit (or you) call us.Shamanic: At the core of this project, there is a shamanic way of life. One that places the importance of nature and sees the spirit of every being as part of the same web of life. Shamanism is the oldest dated healing practice, and it’s rooted in the connection with Spirit guidance.
Holistic: "Holistic" comes from the Greek "holos" (all, whole) and describes an approach that considers a system or an individual in its entirety, rather than analysing it only as the sum of its individual parts.
Holistic medicine sees the patient as a whole, taking into account physical body, emotions, mind, spirit, environment, and relationships, in order to treat the root causes of disorders, not just the symptoms.Academy: enclosing this space as an epicentre of studies. ISHA intends to share everything that can empower, create freedom and safety within an individual or community.
But is so much more than that.
I sat for a long time to receive this name, and one thing about me? I’ll never stop digging deeper. I had to know if ISHA was already of any meaning… and sure enough, across many cultures and in many aspects, it is a blessed word.
In Sanskrit, the meaning is “the ruling Goddess”.
In Hinduism, it represents the divine feminine aspects and means "one who protects";
It is also a name for the supreme being, and in different instances refers to the goddess Parvati and her purity, or Durga.
Depending on the context, it can also mean queen, soul, the spiritual absolute self, God, Supreme Being, or innermost essence of a living being, conceived as eternal and unchanging.
Isha is also the name used when referring to the night prayer in Islam.
In Japanese, it means “doctor”

projects & tales from a luminous future
At ISHA, we said goodbye to doom and gloom, and we’re putting in the work to rise and shine, together.
Recognising the usefulness of the online world, the belief that is also at the very core of shamanism and animism, is to honour our relationship with the Earth, the ground, the physical and abundant manifestation of spirit around us: Nature.
Instead of waiting for a few days of wellness retreat to commune with your tribe, the trees and the rivers… wouldn’t it be better to have it all year round?
Around 2014, a dream seed started rooting and it only keeps growing, forevermore.
Inspired and shocked by the beautiful light of the Matrimandir, the reforestation, the community spirit: the famous Auroville.
The very same values that created this utopic place have led people to develop other pockets of heaven, safety, nature, and what could be defined as a modern-tribe spirit.
Knowing shamanism is a path that can’t be separated from nature, the question remains from those old days: why not us?
Today ISHA is itinerating, yet still seeking to place the first brick, either creating a new cocoon or finding a home in a suitable environment.
If this resonates with your heart, I invite you: come build this spiritual movement together, now!
The vision is, of course, intensely inspired by concepts and places such as Damanhur, Auroville, and the Symbiocene era.
-
Damanhur is a spiritual eco-community in Italy known worldwide for its underground Temples of Humankind, collective creativity, and for being the physical embodiment of harmonious living.
It was established in 1975, the community celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025; The are an inspiring model of conscious living, unity, art and communion with nature.
-
Auroville, also called a utopian city by some (and its very existence deeming this name a paradox), shows what willingness is capable to achieve.
People from every corner of the world transformed a desertic land into a luscious green belt, and created a space where connection with nature, each other and spirit is possible. -
Symbiocene” takes its root from “Symbiosis,” or ‘living together’ to co-create and envision an era and a world of mutual respect for all living beings, beyond the human-centric era that we have been experiencing.
