art and shamanism

Art

The shamanic and animistic worldview sees everything as alive. That’s why when we create, we should bring immense respect and bear the responsibility that comes with stewarding a living being into the world!
The Art we channel is alive.

Art, not often seen in this form by the vast majority of society, is often lived in this way by tribal communities and shamanic or spiritual people.
There is something magical in the act of creation; we become created.
Imagine how more careful or dedicated we’d be with our power!

That’s why so often in the past we see accounts of extreme beauty and extreme attention to detail, from the weaving to the pots, to the jewellery, to the architecture.

What could you join art for?

  • self-expression

  • account of daily life

  • communion with Spirit

  • Honouring Spirit or Gods

  • storytelling

  • freedom

Why do I mention join rather than use?
One constant you’ll notice, sometimes I’ll change language a little, to convey more of a feeling than a concept.
Consider art a friend, a wise mentor, and you will join Art rather than “use art”.

However Spirit or God looks to you, it is an incredibly deep communion to let ourselves be the channel to an image that honours it/them.
Another way is to join Art in self expression and finding freedom.

If I had a penny for every time I heard “I’m not an artist!”
Absolutely everyone is an artist. You just have to go on a date with your new friend, drop your expectations, get a hold of the tool you prefer and let yourself merge together.

If you want to join Art and a whole group of freedom seekers, you can find the shamanic art workshops on offer here >>>

And as always, lots of love
